Still Here, Still At It…

Posted by on August 11, 2011

We are still at it, whittling away at our giant list of projects. Bob has most of the wiring done or mapped out waiting on parts. Most of the autopilot is done, the inverter charger is in. Starting on the water maker. I am still working on refrigeration. Tanya has been working on the wood. She cut out a new panel for the electrical and electronics above the nav station, it looks great. We have a coat of stain on the panel tonight and we will varnish it tomorrow. We removed the pedestal for paint and rebuild. We have been told the windlass will be back next week. We got a call to let us know they’re delivering our new fuel tank tomorrow.

Cutting out the new panel which will go above the nav station:

The main electrical panel will go in the large opening. We will also put a color display, lighting panel, and the remote monitor for the inverter/charger.

We ordered these two ice box lids from www.rparts.com, they’re great and they fit perfectly!

Trimming up the insulation for the underside of the ice box lids:

Bob starting the mock up to mount the water maker pressure vessels:

It’s pretty dark in our storage compartments so we have been installing these little LED lights:

Pedestal is out:

This was in rough shape, like all the rest of the original 33 year old equipment. We are going to awlgrip it, rebuild it and reinstall:

Don’t go away, we get our fuel tank tomorrow!
