Bequia

Posted by on July 8, 2015

We are still in Bequia (Beck-way) which is the largest of the Grenadine Islands. We are anchored off of Princess Margaret Beach just south of the town of Port Elizabeth. We have had fun here doing almost nothing but walking around town, eating out, swimming, and being lazy…but it’s time to move on. The boat is picked up, the dinghy secured, and we’re heading out early tomorrow morning.

We are anchored in front of Jack’s Bar on Princess Margaret Beach:

1a (1280x960)

We’ve been to the beach almost every day:

1b (1280x960)

Fourth of July we put up the bigger flag:

1d 4 July (960x1280)

1e (1280x960)

1f (1280x960)

Whenever we stop in a new place one of the first things we need to find, after customs and immigration, is the cruiser’s hangout, indicated by the abundance of dinghys:

2 dinghy dock Fig Tree Bequia (1280x960)

In Admiralty Bay it happens to be The Fig Tree:

2a Fig Tree (1280x960)

Happy hour with Catchin Rays, Ally Cat, Dreamboat, and at least half a dozen others:

2b Happy hour (1280x960)

That’s it for now, we really didn’t do much here… We’re ready to be in Grenada and settle down for a while. Eight hour trip tomorrow and we should be in Carriacou which is part of Grenanda.
