Chain Plates

The rigging attaches to the chain plates, the rigging holds up the masts. So, we removed all of the chain plates for inspection.  We were pretty sure the plates are original and looking at them I think we were right. Anyway, they look pretty rough, one looks a little like a rotini noodle:
